besides a quiet wife, potty-trained son, and a million bucks is

a review mod that will allow me to review a product with a set criteria...this review will allow comments...

and also a user option to submit reviews which will also allow comments...

is jreviews too powerful for this or is it the only software that will accomplish this effectively?

The terminology you use is a bit confusing because I use it for jReviews but I think in a different context.

You can submit a product using custom fields and add an editorial review which includes both rating (criteria) and comments. I think the custom fields are what you refer to as criteria or product attributes.

A user can also submit product reviews allowing others to comment on it.

I think jReviews does what you want and it does have a lot of configuration settings which you may find useful once you start understanding them. If you are really considering purchasing it, then I encourage you to download the trial version and test it first hand.
