Hey,

I spended about an hour to search - I'm sorry I am a complete newbie to Joomla and jReview.

How do I change language files? I do not see any switch in the configuration form neither is it possible to just rename deu to en_us...

I am using joomla 1.5.7 and the newest build of jReviews with german frontend.

Greetings,
winter

Yes you can do that. There's a bug in the current build which prevents the language file from being automatically loaded using the current Joomla language.

So,

is there any possibility to change it except waiting for a new release?

I will try to have the release out early next week. In the mean time if you want to have the current development version you can submit a ticket and specify which Joomla version and encoding (ionCube or Zend) you need.

Hi all,

I'm experiencing the same. Meanwhile for those just having on language on their website it should work out to overwrite the english language files with the ones in prefered language i think.

I know that Joomla 1.5 recognises languags by itself, but i do prefer having a manuall language selection withhin components in the components registration.

Guys, the functionality is broken in the current build. I'd be happy to send you the dev build I have now were it works and then you can also help me test it before I release it. So far I haven't found any issues with it, but what matters is when it goes out, because every configuration is different and that is the real test! Please submit a ticket, include your license number, Joomla version and specify whether you need the ionCube or Zend version.

It depends on the version of Joomla you are using. There's a patch here:

http://www.reviewsforjoomla.com/option,com_smf/Itemid,34/topic,5198.0/

and if you still have the problem in J1.5, then submit a ticket. I am locking this topic now which is outdated and you can use the other one to respond if you need to.
