Hi

I found what is a big bug for me in that i have uploaded about 15000 pages using csv import and i used a image to have as the default image for all 15000 pages, I'm now going through the pages and contacting each course and getting correct pictures from them,  I have just done this for one page and deleted the default image and it has deleted the default image from all 15000 pages now so i have no default image,  how can i get this default image back in all the pages that don't have images?

Update on this,  I haven't lost all 15000 default images, I have only lost the default images within a category where i uploaded proper images,  so still lost a few thousand

jReviews has a default image functionality which displays the image you select in the configuration if no image is found. If you physically removed or changed the image uploaded through CSV then yes, that would alter all listings using that single image.

hi

it's not the noimage i've deleted it the image i sent through the csv upload to be the image for that content page,  i was in edit of a content page and clicked delete  on that image before uploading the actuall images for that course, It has deleted that image from other pages but not all.

ones still there: http://www.golf-finder.net/index.php?option=com_jreviews&task=listsection&section=24&dir=3&Itemid=195

ones which have gone: http://www.golf-finder.net/index.php?option=com_jreviews&task=listcategory&section=24&cat=202&dir=3&Itemid=195

the one which have gone are in the same category as the ones i changed

If you deleted the image then the image is gone and not available for any other content that was using it. In jReviews the images get deleted when you click on the trash button. The way to remove them from the article without deleting the actual file is to use the core content editor and unselect the image.

Since you've already deleted it, check with the core editor for the content where the image is not showing which is the filename that is selected and then copy the image and save it with that file name in the correct path.

hi

sorry, not sure i'm with you on the above,  i tried to use the noimage instead but can't get that to work either now

i just checked in the core content edit and the image is still there in the ones that have lost images,  i'm confused as to why this is happening

That is what I tried to explain before. Just because you deleted the image from one article, jReviews doesn't actually wipe out the images for all articles, except in the case the image for all of them is the same. Then deleting the one image does physically remove the image from the server, but the association is still left in the database. Typically when you upload images with jReviews, they don't have the same name. CSV Import is different because if you import 20 thousand records, it would be very impractical to create 20 thousand copies of the image. When you want to change the image of an article you should do it with the core editor.

To get your images to appear again, just upload the image with the name you see in the core editor. To get the noimage functionality to work, you need to remove the images you see in the core editor.
