Hi,

I have just installed Joomla! 1.0.15 and the 15 day trial of JReviews.

I'm a new user to Joomla to start with so I'm finding this all a little over my head at this time.

I want to create a Home Appliance Review site at http://ApplianceWiki.com

I already have a site at http://ApplianceJunk.com that has a forum and blog.

Does JReviews have a template someplace that I can use with the free trial I'm using?

Thanks,
 AJ

There's a difference between Joomla templates and jReviews templates. Joomla templates are the same as your site's template (overall look). jReviews templates control the layout of the different elements within the jReviews pages themselves. jReviews comes with the default template and the store template and you can switch between them in the jReviews configuration settings, general tab.

I recommend you don't spend too much time customizing the template for the trial version. Instead focus on the functionality and if you like what you see and decide to purchase it the jReviews 2.0 version is much better for jReviews theme customization. Unfortunately the trial will only be available when it goes stable because I can't maintain and provide support for two trial versions at the same time.

Many users are already launching their sites with the current 2.0 version.

Sounds great!

I have only spent a couple hours with it so far, but I really like what I see.

A week or two ago I installed Joomla 1.5 and could not get the JReviews demo to install.

I was not able to get back to trying things again until now. After some much needed reading I installed Joomla 1.0.15 and the JReview demo installed great this time around for me. Smiley

If I buy JReviews will I have to upgrade my Joomla to 1.5 to use the JReviews 2.0?

Is there a place to download or buy JReview themes for JReviews 2.0?

jReviews 2.0 is not built for J1.5, it's compatible with it as well as with J1.0.x and Mambo. Once you purchase the current stable version of jReviews, you also get access to 2.0 version which will be available for download in the client area.
