I am pretty amazed with the capabilities of this tool. Excellent component.

I was wondering whether minor tweaking of table view is possible. This is how the data comes out

Title                                                                           User Rating                      Hits
TD Gold Card Interest Rate
                       Typical Apr

I would like the output to be like this

Title                     Interest rate             Typical Apr                 User Rating                  Hits
TD Gold Card

I came with a work around of rocket theme mootools problem. As the 'Add new item' works in the template- I set up the menu with a 'url link" rather than linking to the component. seems to be working.

I would really appreciate if you could help me to modify the ouput as my php skills are limited.

I have set up a test site

I can't really help you with this because template customization is not something I can do, otherwise it would be a tremendous amount of work. I can tell you it's possible, and even easier to do with jReviews 2.0. The functionality of 2.0 is exactly the same as 1.2.10 so if you think this does what you need I suggest you spend your time customizing 2.0 instead of doing it with the trial. Otherwise you'll be using the old version if you decide to purchase.

Alejandro
really appreciate your prompt reply on a weekend. I have seen in this forum that the same question has been asked, to put the field parameter on the top of a table and the values underneath, such as:

http://www.reviewsforjoomla.com/option,com_smf/Itemid,34/topic,3609.msg14851/#msg14851

I am planning to use sobi2 and fireboard with the site. I had some problems with IE with sobi with a Joomla 1.5 site we run. So not really sure how stable sobi is with Joomla 1.5

I really like the easy setup of advanced search capabilities with jreview.

If you are confident that the customization can be done with a reasonable programming time, I am willing to  hire a programmer familiar with jreview and pat templates .

Is the $99 for jreview a one time or a yearly fee?

Thanks

jReviews 2.0 is not for Joomla 1.5, that's a misconception! jReviews 2.0 works in Joomla 1.0.x, Joomla 1.5.x and Mambo 4.6.x, so you can do these changes within a reasonable time in jReviews 2.0 and no patTemplate knowledge, just plain php templating.

The theme view file that needs changing is in /components/com_jreviews/jreviews/views/themes/default/listings/list_tableview.thtml and it's much better designed than the 1.2.x tableview.

jReviews is currently $99 for the never expiring license + 12 months of free updates. Please read the article "How the license works" in the knowledge base for more info on the licensing system. 12-month update renewals are currently $49.
