I think these might be a couple of bugs.

I am currently using Joomla 1.0.13 and the latest JReviews Beta for download.

1. With my Shape5 suckerfish menu it is giving me an error which won't allow Jreviews to be displayed, instead I get a "Fatal Error: Call to a member function on a non-object" message. This is the same for the nomoomenu version, also provided through Shape5. If I turn their menus off and use a normal menu there is no problem it all works well. I don't know if this issue is specific to this template and menu system - however previous versions of Jreviews worked fine with it.

2. The date chosen using a date field currently displays as"%AM, %12 %000 %2008".

Thanks,

Rob

It would be helpful to see the complete error message and also a link to a page where this template is used so I can see what libraries it uses.

With regards to the date, you'll need to edit the field and change the output format to:

F d, Y

and see if that helps.

I am moving this to installation and configuration until I we figure out whether there's a bug somewhere.

Right, the date issue is as you expected, just needed to change and save.

You can see the problem for yourself at soteriamag.co.uk/newsite2 - this has Jreviews 2.0 installed, click on any item for reviews in the top menu and the error comes up.

Thanks,

Uninstall the xajax mambot or try editing the /mambots/system/xajax.system.php file and comment or delete this line:

define('_JEXEC',1);

I have tried that this morning, still no difference, in fact I have turned off all mambots just in case it was something else, but I still get the same error.

Since the error is coming from the template file I would have to look at it to understand better what is happening. If could provide access to your site via ticket that would be helpful.
