Hi everyone,

I have been fixing bugs for the past couple of weeks with the help of several users who have been testing the pre-release version. Things are going well, but I still need to fine-tune the url structure before I am able to release it. I had already changed this, but I am not satisfied with how it's working and I have noticed some issues with the built-in SEF in J1.5 so I need to re-think the approach.

Thanks for your patience.

Thanks for the update,  JReviews is the main reason why i am re-designing my entire site using Joomla 1.5 and can't wait for the product to be released.

Very happy to have all your updates Alejandro.  You are a true professional.

What ETA are you thinking currently?  I know it's impossible to give an exact date but are you thinking a couple of weeks or more than a month?  Thanks!

I will do my very best, don't take this as a promise, to have the first beta out by end of this coming week. It really depends on the support workload for the current version. Only over the weekend I got a ton of forum posts and support tickets I need to resolve.

I have one request, and this would make things a lot easier for editor item entry.

Right now for "Enable REVIEW FORM for:" You have "Editors, Everyone, and Don't show" as options. I, and I am sure many others would love an Everyone except Editors option.

ATM I have this option set for "don't show", only because I still enter items, and don't want to review them. But this makes it hard for new users to add items. First they have to wait for it to be moderated, then they have to come back, and submit a review.

Please please look at adding this into the next version.

Thank you,
Chris

Hey Alejandro,

I assume 2.0 will be 1.0x compatible as well as 1.5x?

Cheers,

..Tony

@quiglag: it's already too late for this release + I am not really adding any new features in this version. It's mainly the code rewrite. However, it's simple enough and I'll look into it for one of the upcoming releases.

@tony: jReviews 2.0 is compatible with J1.x, J1.5, Mambo 4.6.x. It's not written for J1.5, it's rewritten to introduce a new coding framework which makes it much easier to customize both code and themes.
