Hi Alejandro ,

I get on install after the first steps when I click on the "click here to continue with the installation this message:

Fatal error: Incompatible file format: The encoded file has format major ID 3, whereas the Optimizer expects 1; The encoded file was probably encoded by the Zend Guard for PHP 5 (zendenc5), and therefore cannot be run on PHP 4 in /homepages

Have you any idea what I can change to finish the installation?

Regards
Thomas

I'm not Alejandro, but I think you can use Zend encoded jreviews only on PHP 5.
For PHP 4 your only option is Ioncube.

You also need to be running Zend Optimizer v3.3.x at a minimum.

What's important is the information given by phpinfo in Joomla admin, help, system info, php information. Check php version is 5.x and Zend Optimizer is 3.3x. If you continue having problems it's better to submit a ticket.
