Hi, I am new on this forum and also new to Joomla and JReviews.

I purchased JReviews about 2 weeks ago and installed it onto my site. My site used to be static html pages and I wanted to convert it into a database driven backend CMS. I spent along time looking at all the various tools to do it and eventually chose Joomla and JReviews.

I would be really grateful if you could check out the site and let me know what you think - good or bad and I would love to hear any recommendations/suggestions you have to make.

Fantastic job on JReviews by the way - really impressed.

Anyway the site in question is The Golf Review Center which can be found at http://www.golfreviewcenter.com

Thanks in advance

Hi Peter:

Good luck with the site, I hope you can start putting in some content and reviews in there to inspire others to do the same. Maybe you should try putting some green on the template, given that it's a golf site?

Now some technical comments. I released a new version of jReviews which provides compatibility with the mootools library which is used by your Joomla template. Right now if you click on the images on the content pages they will not open up correctly and even the add review link might fail depending on the browser you use. I suggest you upgrade to the latest version and read the  Using jReviews with Mootools KB and How do I upgrade jReviews articles.

Thanks Alejandro,

Yeah youre right I do need some more colour in the theme - I'll have a poke around and see what I can do.

Thanks for the technical comments - where do I download the update from - is this in the client area?

Cheers

Hi Alejandro,

Thanks for pointing me to the update as well the areas so that I could get the various aspects going.

I have a quick question if that is ok.

On my reviews section I have a category for golf courses. In this category you can view, add and review golf courses (funnily enough). When you look at the golf course there are various forms, one of which is the address. I have this field set as a text area, however once the item is moderated and appears on the site all the address entries appear on one line instead of being on separate lines as when they were input. It is also the same for the field facilities.

Have I set this field as the wrong type or is there something I need to change so that these appear on separate lines.

Can you help?

Thanks

Peter

I released a new version today (1.2.04) and that is one of the things that it fixes.

Hi, I have done the upgrade but I am getting the following error message :

pat-Error Invalid closing tag pattemplate:translate, : expected in mod_jrdashboard.html on line 60

I have had a look in the file but to be honest I dont have a clue what I am looking at!!!

Any pointers?

Cheers

Try replacing that file with the one in the module zip, it seems like yours is corrupted or got corrupted on upload.
