I thought this would be interesting and it is amazingly simple to do using the banner component:

1. Publish the banner module in a position that does not exist (i.e. user9) on your template and assign it to all menus.
2. In the jReviews template of your choice, add: {mosloadposition user9}

That's it. I have used this in the userreviewheader at joomlaratings.com, if you add ?tp=1 at the end of the url you can see the module positions. For example:

www.joomlaratings.com/Content__News/Magazine/iJoomla_Magazine.html?tp=1

I have not looked at how the google adsense revenue sharing modules work, but it might be interesting to get people to write reviews in certain sites.

Hello,

could you perhaps send me a example of the template you are using. I am not really sure where and how to included the <?php {mosloadposition user9} ?> within the template code.

Thanks

It's any template (jReviews html files).

You don't need to include the PHP tags, and you should replace user9, by the position where you assigned the banner.

I think the trick here is that we must use a module positon that is not normally used in the main J! template.
So first we append "?tp=1" to the site url to find one that is free.

Not sure if you are new to J! or not so...
In the J! Admin:
Select modules > site modules > banners (make sure it's published), and open it for editing.
Then in the module postion, select user9 (If this one not in use) and save it.

jReviews templates file are more like a collection of mini templates, so where ever you add {mosloadposition user9} it needs to be in between the <patTemplate:tmpl> and </patTemplate:tmpl> tags.

I've just added a quick example using the "userreviewsheader.html"
(remove the 1.txt extension)

Hope this helps  Wink

The template position does not have to even appear when you add the ?tp=1 at the end of your url it just has to be defined as a template position and be available in the module settings.

Hi folks,

I assume this still works in RC3?

I want to add a banner module in the directory.html template underneath the alpha index.

I added {mosloadposition dir-ad} as in below:

Code:
<patTemplate:tmpl src="alphaindex.html" />

{mosloadposition dir-ad}

<table id="jr_directory" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">

but all i get is {mosloadposition dir-ad} printed on screen.

I know I'm doing something dumb and wrong but dir-ad is a defined module positon and the banner module (type is mod_artbannersplus) is published on all pages.

If anyone can help I'll be very happy.

Thanks!
