i plan on using this script for reviews and preivews for my site
people are able to rate the previews but once the item actually comes out i want to be able to lock it from being rated

is it possible to lock reviews?

It shouldn't be too hard to implement this. The easiest way I can think would be to add a tag like {LOCKREVIEWS} to the content and check for it when displaying the reviews.
