it is not supposed to show anywhere, but in the list of mambots. What it should do is return appropriate results when you use the joomla search module.

I've just installed the search bot and disabled the standard joomla one, but on trying to perform a search it returns the following error in the search results.

Code:
Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #2 is not an array in /homepages/46/d168494811/htdocs/classicamiga/mambots/search/jreviews.searchbot.php on line 208

I'm running the latest RC2 version of jReviews in case that is causing the error.

Even with this error some search results are also beong returned under the error, but they are no different than the standard joomla search bot and are not returning any results based on custom field data.

Fix is here:

http://www.reviewsforjoomla.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,34/topic,271.0/

I don't understand why my version of the box throws this error while the core Joomla one does not, with exactly the same code  Huh

I will revisit the search bot later on when I have some time.

Thank you.  That solution fixed it and it is returning results perfectly now for any custom field data. Smiley

I agree, that is very strange as I also compared the original joomla search bot code with the jreview code to see if I could spot an error before posting on the forum and it looks the same so shouldn't be returning that error.  Very odd.

This file is included in the zip package that you can download from My Account. I removed the files from the previous download area, which is what I think you are trying to access.

Hi,

I think my eyes are not that good, I couldn't find it in my account page:) Which zip package is this?

Currently after searching a word, the items are found but I always got the message saying that I have no authorization to see it. It's the same before and after the login. The link of the item header is: index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=35 after search. But when I navigate in jreviews menus and click on the item the link is: index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=35&Itemid=107 and it is displayed to both guests and registered users. Is this related with not having this bot or something else?

Regards,

I think your eyes are fine  Roll Eyes I just added the bot as a separate file in the client area. Login here:

Hi Alejandro,

I have a problem with search. I have the same problem with Joomla search but couldn't find asolution. my problem is with characters i,İ,ı and I. For us İ is the capital of i and I is the capital of ı. But the search works in a way that I is the capital of i (like in English) and İ is the capital of ı.

When I search with ist and İst I got different results which is quite a big problem for me. Do you have any idea about this problem?

Thanks,
Serkan

I have no idea. You mean to say no turkish user has come up with a solution of this?

Well I couldn't even understand that. I posted in the forums but I did not get any replies. I checked the joomlaturkiye.org home page and looks like they have the same problem...I'll try to check more sites for that...

Thanks,

I'm looking for installation instructions for the search bot but when I click on this link it says I'm not authorized to view.  I'm logged into both the forum and the client area.

Sorry, I have moved all downloads to the client area. If it's not in the zip file then it's available separately.

You have to replace the core content search bot with the one provided in /mambots/content.
