My son who is a youth hockey player and I have put this web site together zcreviews.com (http://zcreviews.com). This is our very first web site. We would like you to critique our website. We are looking for positive and negative feedback. We would appreciate, if you could give us a few minutes of your time to review this site. Please review our site and let us know about any questions, comments and suggestions what you might have.

This is what we used to make our site:
Joomla
Rocket theme Pixel Perfect template

Jreviews
Jreviews dashboard module
Jreviews section nav module

Jreviews is running as it was installed an has not been modified.

Site name:
zcreviews.com (http://zcreviews.com)

The site seems to be running fine now. Could have been a hosting company issues. I am also thinking it could be a language compatibility issue. Our site is set up for English. What browser are you using?

now is visible.
My suggestion is to work to improve the template (joomla adn jreviews) in order to have someting more "personal".

The site looks good here are a few of my thoughts:

1. The site was running slow for me.  Do not know if this is always the case but I thought that I would mention it.  Who are you using for your hosting?  I am building a site that reviews all of the different Joomla web hosts (http://www.joomlahostingreviews.com).  I would like to add them to my site.  I saw several links on your site to dreamhost.  Is this the company that you are using for hosting?

2. I also have a review site using the exact same them, pixel perfect.  Take a look at www.framereviews.com (http://www.framereviews.com) and see some of the different choices that I made.  I removed all of the options for different theme colors and font sizes.  In my opinion all of the extra choices added clutter to the site.

3. On the home page you may want to consider removing the images in the top rated and latest reviews.  It is good to see the images but it causes the text to be jumbled.  Just a thought.

You have a great start to the site and now it is time to add the content for all of the different items to review.  This is always seems to be the slow part for me.

Hope this helps!
