i have searched all over and cant seem to find out how to make reviews expand like the link below. can someone direct me to the right thread?

That's not a feature of jReviews. They've done extensive customization to the code and templates.

interesting, what about how on the link below when you hit write a review the mootools effect pops up?

That's also not how jReviews works. In jReviews the new review form slides out instead of popping up. When you edit a review you do get the pop up effect.

understood. where would i find the code that makes the new review form slide out and the code when you edit it pops up. theoretically i should be able to use the same code for the popup in lew of the slide-out.

This is not that simple. It's not only about changing the way the form display. You also need to change the after submit code, which is in the php files.

If you are using jReviews 2.0 I can offer you some pointers to find the files, but not with 1.x since I'll be obsolete soon anyway and I can't spend extra time on it.

All I can say is for 1.0, the code is in the jreviewcontent.html template file for the review slide (when using mootools) and xajax.jreviews.php for post submit actions.
