So, the premise was to make a site where people can rate ANYTHING on a universal scale of 1 to ten, justify their reviews, and allow others to vote. (Kind of like imdb.com voting, only applied to anything)

I had to turn off a bunch of stuff, since I'm looking more for simple ratings, rather than thorough reviews.. but the system made it super easy to let users submit content. I kind of rearranged some of the content and CSS to streamline it for what I needed, but overall jreviews did exactly what I wanted.

The only thing I am missing, is I wish I could figure a way to have a page that shows all items a user has NOT reviewed.. There is a "my reviews" link, where they can see their review history.. I just was looking for a way to invert that, and have had no luck

Simple it is, nice job. Unfortunately the last remaining thing is not really a feature. You would need to customize the code to change something like the MyListings menu into ListingsWithoutReviews menu. It's doable, you just need to get someone to change the code for you.

Hey, I'm brand spankin' new to this and I really don't even work much with it at all, but I have a client who needs something.  How did you restrict the top rated reviews on a page to a specific category?  It's probably something simple and there's most likely somewhere better to ask this, but I saw that you did this so I was curious as to whether you'd be able to help me out with this.  Thanks!

The dashboard module and the jReviews menu parameters both have the option to limit results by directory, section, category ids.

Thank you for your help!  I am actually a programmer and this is for a client who does all of the setup for Joomla.  Would you be able to direct me towards instructions on how I could do such a thing?  He was under the impression that this would take custom programming.

Also, is there a better place to put this?

I very much like the Just Reviewed and Newest Items display table on this site, does anyone know how it is done? Is it some sort of component for showing recently updated and new Joomla content items or is it something that can be done with Jreviews?

Any advice would be great :-)

My site template is a heavily modified version of the 'madeyourweb' template that comes with Joomla. There are two module spaces user1 and user2 that can appear above the content portion of the page. I put the dashboard module in those places, and limited one to newest content, and one to newest user reviews. Also, you should set them to only appear on  the home page, otherwise they'll push the content on every page down.

So the short answer is, you can use the dashboard module for that content.. but you may need to edit your template to make it show up bigger like it was content, not a side module.

Since then, I've switched it up because I wanted to make the homepage a little less busy. It took quit if messing with the template, but I now have those two modules inside the JoomlaWorks "Tabs & Slides" Module, and that module below the front page slideshow.

It's a brilliant idea.  I'm envious.  I rack my brain daily and haven't come up with an idea this good.  You must get a lot of traffic.

I wanted to comment on the guy who reviewed the Beatles.  Only a 7 because he thinks they're overrated. I answered with my own review. It's addictive.
