Title: New- Travel Shop Ireland Post by: crystalitc on August 24, 2007, 09:07:13 AM Hi,
I have just completed setting up two directories on my travel site. Directory 1: Featured Accommodation - Top Menu Directory 2: Restaurant Directory- Top Menu - Your Stuff I need to do a few tweeks here and there. This is a powerful program and am delighted to have come accross it. It is mind boggling, but once you get your head around it - the sky is the limit. www.travelshopireland.com (http://www.travelshopireland.com) Please let me know what you thing overall. Regards Glenn Pearson www.travelshopireland.com (http://www.travelshopireland.com) Title: Re: New- Travel Shop Ireland Post by: Blackartist on August 24, 2007, 07:22:43 PM Nice looking site, 2 things though, get rid of that floating newsletter thing & When I click:
featured-accommodation --> any link under that, the left menu drops to the bottom of the screen I'm using IE6, it shows fine in FF, so it depends if you want to fix it for IE users. Nice photos, very clean and excellent quality. Use of colour is good for your site design/market. Navigation is easy, I could find what I wanted no problems. Anyways cracking site and good luck. Have removed newsletter. I wanted to have a box on front page but the search script confuses it. I think I have fixed the left menu item. Thanks for pointing it out. Regards Glenn Title: Re: New- Travel Shop Ireland Post by: crystalitc on April 08, 2008, 03:45:28 PM Hi All.
I have done some template changes - colour, minor layout etc. I have added a Blog, Photo album, classifieds and forum. Looking for a good Events program? Any suggestions. Regards Glenn Title: Re: New- Travel Shop Ireland Post by: ghurty on April 08, 2008, 06:58:40 PM Hi,
I like your site. Can you tell me how you managed to do the tabs as well as the google maps? Also, do you know if it is possible to do a search based on features of the the hotel? Thakns Title: Re: New- Travel Shop Ireland Post by: crystalitc on April 09, 2008, 07:38:11 AM Hi,
Thanks, There is a few threads about tabs on the site - do a search for tabs in the forum. There are also a few threads about Google sitemaps - do a search for Google maps in the forum. When you set up the features in the backend you can enable them to be seachable - so in the Component Advanced seach you can select the features you want to search by. In the advanced seach MODULE you can set it by the filed name. There are also various threads about this. Hope this helps Regards Glenn Title: Re: New- Travel Shop Ireland Post by: zander on April 11, 2008, 04:41:01 AM Have you ever seen your website in safari? Looks a bit messed up. Attached a screenshot.
In firefox: good looking site! Title: Re: New- Travel Shop Ireland Post by: crystalitc on April 11, 2008, 07:29:48 AM Hi,
I know - Safari and Opera. It is the Booking script on the front page. I need to rewrite it. It messes up on the two browsers. Because my visitors with those browsers is so small I have not made it a priority. I know I should cater for all, but I have had to stomp out enough fires in setting up the site, with all the componts to get them to work in harmony. Thanks Glenn Title: Re: New- Travel Shop Ireland Post by: foodiechica on April 16, 2008, 04:51:27 PM Hi! I like your site a lot!
Where did you get your menu from? We're trying to improve ours. Did you manually place the "top rated" on the site? That's what I've done ... but it'd be great if I could just click on the tours to add to the front. Great job!!
