Hello,

I'd like to use jReviews to create advanced "users comments" of products. So we'll create one "article" per content (in a specific category) and user wil rate and comment the product at the end of the "article" (or reviews).

For this, XTD rating or the advanced rating options of jReviews are very interessants. But we also like to make the text box of the comments zone more detailled. So we'd like to create custom Fields for the comments, like we can do for the Reviews : for example "first impression" (text) ; "condition of use" (text) ; quality of x element of the product (text) ; price you buy it (number) etc.

Is it possible to do that with jReviews in the comment part, even if we have to put some code (with your help ?) in the original composant ?

Thanks for your help, for the moment I just evaluate jReviews on your demo site, and I'm using xtd rating and reviews for my local tests.

No, this is not possible out of the box. You can modify the review form, but it will be the same review form for all categories so I am not sure that is flexible enought for you. Then, if you do modify it the different input fields you add would have to be merged and stored into the single comment field available for reviews. There's already a post somewhere on the forum explaining how this is done.

Thanks for this answer ;). It's very helpfull to know what we can do about this. We'll make a search of the discussion about  this subject.

Maybe it could be a way of future feature to have customs fields for comments like for reviews, because the customs fileds for reviews are already very ppowerfull !
