Hello,

We have successfully managed to install the jreview plugins into jomsocial. Until now people were leaving feedback in a separate jreviews module and it was appearing in a 'Directory'. Now that we have the plugins for reviews into jomsocial, I would like the reviews already left to appear against each of the members profiles in jomsocial. But currently they are not appearing in jomsocial, but do in the Directory (Directory is the separate module that we set up).

Can anyone help? Is it something that I am not doing correctly?

Thanks,
Gavin

I am not sure I understand. You are saying that if John Smith was a member of your site he had a JReviews listing where people left reviews of him and now you want those to automatically appear in the ReviewsOfMe plugin?

If that's the case then there's no automated way of doing this since you are changing the "anchor" for the reviews. By this I mean that reviews are associated to a specific listing id and component. I can provide more info on what you would need to change in the database directly to do this once you confirm this is what you are trying to do.

Morning Alejandro.

So up until now, tradesmen had to create an account (in jomsocial), then create a profile separately to this in jreviews, in what we called a 'Directory'. This is where customers would come into the website (they didnt have to register) and posted feedback in the Directory.

What we have now is an integrated solution, where tradesmen create a profile once (in jomsocial) and with the jreviews plugin, customers come in, create an account and can leave feedback on the jomsocial profile, ie Directory is now not required.

So prior to this upgrade, we have 9 reviews, which remain where they were created, and I wondered if there was a way to migrate them over to where the reviews are stored now?

Also, I notice that the plugin 'slides' down over the other plugins there. It clears if you click one of the other plugins to expand or contract them, but was hoping it would appear first time? I've attached a screenshot.

Also, is there any way that customers can leave text feedback also, so that other reviewers have more information about what work was undertaken. The scoring on its own doesnt give the full story.

Thanks again Alejandro,
Gavin

That's what I thought.

1) You are going to have to edit the jos_jreviews_comments table and change the "pid" column number with the number corresponding to the user id for the profile that was reviewed.
2) Then in the "mode" column you'll need to change it from "com_content" to "com_community_access"

You'll need to post a url where this can be seen directly. Either here or via ticket.

Maybe you have the comments text field hidden? By default you should see a comments field. You can check this in configuration settings, standard fields tab.

Hi Alejandro, thanks for the reply. Sorry, I'm a newbit.

How do I edit the jos_jreviews_comments table?

Cheers,

Use your hosting account's phpMyAdmin to browse and make changes to the database. Once you make the changes you'll also need to go to listing types manager and click on Sync Ratings.

It will be listed together with the rest of the Joomla tables in the database.
