Hi Guys,

first, very impressive product, well done!
Ok, before buying, i have a few questions which you may answer:

1. Upcoming version
I have read on your twitter that there will be a new version. So, is there any date for the new version?
Which features brings the new version, upgrade easy to go?

2. Comparsion jreviews vs sobi2
Which are the big differents between these products? Sure review is much more developed than the sobi2 integrated function. But what else?

3. Paid listing
If i want to choose this product, i also need a way to get the money back. I want to realise a review & directory website, therefore it would be great if my customers pays for this, monthly and anually. Also the listing should be set to inactive when no paying was done.

4. Features
What current features does jreview has? Any chance to embed youtube videos on to a listing?
There are some others as google maps, etc.

5. Extensions, addons
Are there any addons and/or extensions? Right now i cant find some in the forum or did i missed a part? Would be great if there would be a section called addons where all addons/extensions are posted not like questions in tips and tricks, right now its hard to find any hack or something simillar.

6. Why didnt i found you earlier  Cheesy

Cheers

Could be next week if all testing goes well. This isn't a feature release so it doesn't have any major new features, just the addition of auto Tweets and some smaller things. A new release was required to prepare the component to use Addons like the upcoming GeoMaps addon.

I don't keep up with the progress of Sobi2 so you really should download and test both yourself. You can also do a search in this forum for Sobi2 because I have answered similar questions in the past.

This functionality is not available.

Take a look at the demos site. You can do both youtube and google maps and it is explained in the tips & tricks board. There's also info in the new docs which are being updated daily

The only Addon is the Everywhere Addon and there's a full description for it in the top menu on this site under JReviews. You can use most Joomla content plugins with JReviews.

Hi Alejandro,

Thanks a lot for your quick reply! Well, i love your product! Just played around with it today and its really brilliant!
Hope you get paid listings soon as this would be really great to charge a small amount for different needs.

I have seen that you have also the chance of makeing an inquiry to the listing owner. This is a pretty good idea, i want to make it public for every listing but want to give the listing owners the chance to decide to have it or not. I dont want to spam an owner if hes not interested in getting inquiries. Any solution for this?

YOu could create a checkbox field that the owner checks if he wants to allow/deny inquiries. Then use that to create a conditional around the inquiry code. To find out how to use conditionals with fields read this:

Ok, i will try this.
One more question:
Is there an option where the user can choose if he wants to receive mails when a listing has been reviewed?
I just can see that administrator can give global the option. It would be good to have this feature that you are receiving a mail after your listing has been submitted. But some users dont want this.

Is there any checkbox which i may miss?

No, there's no option to do this, but you can customize the code also using a custom fields and then reading it in the /jreviews/components/notifications.php file. This however is outside the scope of support.
