Media Temple (http://www.mediatemple.net) supports per-user installation (meaning it's not done for you, but you can place it in your hosting directory and refer to it in your php.ini and it will load and work without a problem).

Instead of us having to worry which host to use, shouldn't jreviews just a be a bit more user friendly and stop using encoders that require specialist support? Must be killing your sales for normal users who presumably just find it irritating.
