Hi,

Hoping you can help answer my question, I know the answer will entail customization, but would like to get your opinion on it.

I would like to have a set of predefined ratings attributes for each listing, say 10, and say depending on which predefined product they choose(based on a custom field), get a subset of ratings upon which to rate.

Here is an example, say a Nightclub had three products, bar, food, nightclub.  Overall the nightclub had a set of 10 ratings to choose from, but the reviewee would select which product they consumed, say 'nightclub', and then they would see 4 out of the 10 ratings upon which to rate.

I do not mind if in setup, I would have to have three different 'service' ratings, one for each product.

Thanks.

I am not sure how to help you. What you want to do is just not even remotely possible with the set of features included in JReviews. There's no relationship between ratings and custom fields so someone would need to start by creating that relationship.

Can you think of any other way to 'tag' each review for the listings?  It would have to be user selected.

Any option would just require a lot of re-writing of the existing code and honestly it's probably not worth it. You can do away with the review system and only use custom fields for this. Create your own rating fields and use field relations to show/hide them based on another field selection. The problem with that is that you are not going to be able to get rating averages, top rated lists, etc. So as I said, you do away with the review functionality.
