Question on Auto Redirect

Lets say I run a global restaurant directory.

If a user's IP is from NYC, can I automatically redirect him to NYC restaurants category when he clicks on Restaurants, instead of him going to USA, then New York State and then NYC?

That capability doesn't exist in JReviews. GeoMaps is for mapping, not for filtering the data in JReviews menus or categories in real time.

But don't you think I could use the first example here http://www.geoplugin.com/examples to produce a code for this purpose?

Sure, if you can code it you can implement it. But it's not something we are able to help with. The geomaps module already has geotargetting capability built-in and can narrow down the markers based on the user's ip address. However, that capability is not available throughout the rest of JReviews.
