I want to add some default text to a textarea such as "Amazon Link". I want the box to show the correct code I want used and then the person just adds the link. Is this possible?

Also, I'd like to add some instructions to the Images box. I assume this needs to be done by modifying a template but I'm not sure which.

There is no way to add default text to any custom field. But you can use this approach for Amazon links:
