Just eight days after the release of 1.2RC3, we are releasing a new version fixing all the bugs that have been reported in the forum. We had to make another small change to one of the templates (authorreviewdetail.html) and have documented it in the RC2 to RC3 template migration guide, please make this change if you use editorial reviews in jReviews. For the whole list of changes read the changelog .

We have released a new module for our users. It's an Advanced Search Module that leverages the custom field system in jReviews, allowing you to easily design your own advanced search forms. The module can be copied to create multiple search forms.
The module is very easy to use. You just need to edit the sample template provided and add your search fields in the {JR_FIELDNAME} format. You can use html to make the forms look exactly the way you want them.
Download the Advanced Search Module. We will continue improving it based on your feedback. |

Some of you may have seen the new jReviews demo site showcasing jReviews RC3, as well as jReviewsEverywhere and the Joomlaboard Addons. Now you have access to these and the amazing functionality and features they provide. Initially this was going to be a bug fix only release, but we added so many new features that we had to make it a release candidate. The next release will not contain any new features and will be 1.2 Stable. Some of the Changes and New Features in RC3 - Improved loading performance.
- Improved sef urls and made it compatible with SEF Advance.
- Added date field type.
- Added many advanced field settings, further improving the flexibility of the system.
- Content mambots now also run on lists.
- Made templates W3C CSS and xHTML valid.
- Added display access setting for fields, complementing the existing add/edit setting.
- Added setting to setup categories without reviews to use only the custom fields.
Many improvements were also made to all the modules. The dashboard module was completely redesigned and a new custom mode was added so it's now possible to use custom fields in the module's template. Using this mode you can show random entries and select which entries to show. It's very flexible! The auto detect to dynamically change the module's output based on the page was improved and was also added to the fields and range modules. For the whole list of changes read the changelog . jReviews+Joomlaboard Addon Updated
A new version of the Joomlaboard addon has also been released. It fixes a few bugs and improves the post creation format by converting html tags to bbcode. If you want to purchase jReviewsEverywhere and you are an existing customer you can login the client area to purchase only the addon for your current jReviews license.

I have working for a while on a new commercial addon for jReviews to be released at the same time as jReviews RC3. It's called jReviewsEverywhere and you can see it working with Community Builder and Virtuemart in the attached pictures. I am including several components on the new demo site when RC3 is released so you can test it.
